                                 Requirements / Notes:

 

·        Entry Fee: $8.00 per boat /all classes

·        There will be one entry per frequency per class until seven or more mailed in boat entries have been received.

·        All Racers MUST have a valid 2008 NAMBA card in order to race.

·        Every boat is required to pass a “radio check” PRIOR to starting the event.

·        All District 1 and NAMBA rules shall be followed and will be enforced.

·        All prop shields shall be properly constructed to stop any propeller.

·        This is a 6 lap course with Pit men keeping track of the driver’s time. The CD shall track the 1st place boat.

·        This is an Open Mill Course. Every boat must go around the left side buoys after launch, but has the option of driving using the ľ mill pattern or the full mill pattern. All re-launches shall mill around the full course.

·        Proper foot attire shall be worn by the pit man and driver.

·        All drivers must race in their lanes and shall not use the course infield to pass – penalties will be assessed. Displacing a buoy will warrant a driver infraction.

·        The race order of classes will be determined on entries?(race day)

Special note:: there will be no concourse award, there will be a best of show award. All welcome.                

 

 

North Pond - Hempstead, NY

From Southern New Jersey - take the NJ Turnpike (I-95) north to Exit 10. Follow signs for Route 440

north to the Outer Bridge Crossing into Staten Island. Bear right and follow signs for the Pearl Harbor

Memorial Expressway to the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, then get on I-278 east to the VNB. Stay in the

left lane when on the VNB and take the left exit for the Belt Parkway. Stay on the Belt Parkway (approx 30

minutes) until it becomes the Southern State Parkway. Look for Exit 19 N, Peninsula Blvd. Proceed over

the Southern State on Peninsula Blvd and make a left at the second traffic light. Take the Southern State

Parkway ramp west and pull off the ramp on to the grass to the race site. If you get back on to the

Southern State, you’ve gone too far and you must make a U-turn at the next exit.

From Central New Jersey - take the NJ Turnpike (I-95) to Exit 13. Follow signs for the Goethals Bridge

into Staten Island. Proceed through Staten Island on I-278 East to the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. Stay in

the left lane when on the VNB and take the left exit for the Belt Parkway. Stay on the Belt Parkway

(approx 30 minutes) until it becomes the Southern State Parkway. Look for Exit 19 N, Peninsula Blvd.

From Northern New Jersey - Route 80 / 95 to the George Washington Bridge. Follow 95/Cross Bronx

Expressway to I-295 / Clearview Expressway toward the Throgs Neck Bridge. Take the CROSS IS PKWY

exit toward EASTERN L I. Take the SOUTHERN STATE PKWY EAST exit- EXIT 25A- on the LEFT

toward EASTERN LONG IS. Look for Exit 19 N, Peninsula Blvd. Proceed over the Southern State on

Peninsula Blvd and make a left at the second traffic light. Take the Southern State Parkway ramp west

and pull off the ramp on to the grass to the race site. If you get back on to the Southern State, you’ve

gone too far and you must make a U-turn at the next exit.

NOTE: If you are pulling a trailer - you cannot travel on “Parkways” in the State of NY. You must seek alternate travel plans.
