10:15 AM – Mark Schalich made a motion to open the meeting
William Overton seconded the motion. Meeting opened.
11:50AM – A 15 minute break was taken

The following are the motions that were discussed and
seconded:
Motion 1 made by Mark Schalich, seconded by Doug Twaits, Jr.
Amend the current district 1 rule: “Sponsoring clubs will pay District 1 $4.00 for each boat entered for all types of point heat racing and $5.00 per run at the District straight-aways and Oval Time Trials.” The motion reads: “Sponsoring clubs will pay district 1 $6.00 for each boat entered for all types of point heat racing and $5 per run at district straight away and oval time trials.”
Motion 2 made by Doug Twaits, Sr., seconded by Jack Ditta.
Add a new rule to the current district 1 rules: The motion reads “A yearly district point race cancelled will not count toward the total races counted in a given district class.” Explanation – (To help district director choose proper total amount of races which will count for the year)
Motion 3 made by Bill Ruffin, seconded by William Overton.
Add a new rule to the current district 1 rules: The motion reads “If a race is put on the schedule at the beginning of the race season, it should be counted in the total number of races for the season, even if any of the races are cancelled for any reason.” Explanation – (None provided)
Motion 4 made by Mark Schalich, seconded by Louie Gerdik.
Add to the current district 1 rule: The motion reads “If a race is cancelled at more than ½ way through, all entries will be awarded 100 points. Race will be counted; the district keeps their portion of all entry fees.” Explanation – (None provided)
Motion 5 made by Herb Neelman, seconded by Doug Reeve.
Amend a district 1 rule: “The district director shall be empowered to eliminate 2nd & 3rd Class trophies for the year if in his discretion, the district funds would run at a deficit for that year.” Explanation – (None provided)
Motion 6 made by Meeca Schroeter, seconded by Bill Ruffin.
Amend a district 1 rule: The current rule reads “Radios must be impounded”. The motion reads “Allow spread spectrum style radios not required to be impounded. This follows current National trends in NAMBA.” Explanation – (Spread spectrum radios can not (Hit) or cause glitches to others)
12:50PM – Jack Ditta made a motion to adjourn the meeting
Bill Ruffin seconded the motion. William Overton raised his hand, but was a few seconds too late to second the motion. Nonetheless, he was still jubilant. The meeting was closed.
